Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the ImBack mobile application and related services operated by Jeefer W.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the ImBack application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the application.
1. User Eligibility & Account Responsibility
1.1 Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the application, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
1.2 Accurate Information
Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account or configuring safety alerts. Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in suspension or termination of the account.
1.3 Account Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and device access. The Company shall not be liable for unauthorized access resulting from user negligence, device compromise, or security failures beyond the Company's control.
1.4 Responsibility for Device Access
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that: • The device remains functional • Required permissions remain enabled • Internet connectivity is available • Notifications are allowed • The application is not restricted by operating system settings Failure to maintain these conditions may prevent the Service from operating as intended.
1.5 Misuse of the Service
Users agree not to misuse the platform, including but not limited to: • Creating fraudulent alerts • Harassing contacts • Providing false emergency scenarios • Attempting to manipulate or abuse system features The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the platform.
2. Service Description & Limitations
2.1 Nature of the Service
ImBack is a personal safety check-in reminder and alert system that allows users to set an expected return time and automatically notify designated contacts if the user does not confirm their safety within a specified time period.
2.2 No Emergency Guarantee
The Service does not guarantee emergency response, intervention, rescue, or assistance of any kind.
2.3 Not a Replacement for Emergency Services
The Service is not a substitute for emergency services, including but not limited to: • Police • Ambulance services • Fire departments • Medical assistance Users should always contact local emergency services directly in dangerous or life-threatening situations.
2.4 Service Availability
The Company does not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be interrupted due to: • Maintenance • System upgrades • Infrastructure failures • Third-party service outages
3. Technology & System Failures
3.1 Device Failures
• Phone destruction or damage • Device battery depletion • Hardware malfunction • Operating system crashes • Device compatibility limitations
3.2 Network and Connectivity Issues
• Loss of internet connection • No signal areas • Carrier outages • Network congestion • Data transmission failures
3.3 Application Limitations
• App crashes • Background task limitations imposed by the operating system • Disabled notifications • Device permission restrictions • App being force closed or removed by the user
3.4 Server and Infrastructure Failures
• Server downtime • Processing delays • Cloud infrastructure outages • Maintenance interruptions
3.5 Notification & Communication Failures
• Email delivery delays or failures • Incorrect email addresses • Spam filtering • Contact inbox restrictions • Notification system failures
3.6 Location and Sensor Inaccuracies
If location-based services are used in the future, inaccuracies may occur due to: • GPS inaccuracies • GPS spoofing • Satellite signal interference
3.7 Timing Delays
Server processing delays or network latency may affect when alerts are sent.
4. Emergency Situations Disclaimer
4.1 Tool Only
ImBack is only a technological tool designed to assist with personal safety notifications.
4.2 No Guarantee of Safety
The Company cannot guarantee the safety of any user and shall not be responsible for any incident including: • Injury • Assault • Kidnapping • Missing persons • Theft • Accidents • Death
4.3 User Responsibility
Users remain responsible for taking appropriate precautions and contacting emergency services when necessary.
4.4 Contact Response
The Company has no control over whether contacts respond to alerts. Contacts may: • Ignore alerts • Miss alerts • Fail to receive alerts • Be unavailable
5. User Behavior & Prohibited Use
5.1 False Alerts
Send or trigger false emergency alerts intentionally.
5.2 Harassment
Use the platform to harass, threaten, or intimidate other individuals.
5.3 System Abuse
Abuse alert limits or attempt to manipulate the system.
5.4 Reverse Engineering
Attempt to: • Reverse engineer • Decompile • Hack • Modify • Exploit the application
5.5 Security Violations
Attempt unauthorized access to servers, APIs, or user data. Violation of these provisions may result in immediate termination of access.
6. Premium Plans & Payments
6.1 Subscription Services
Certain features may require a paid subscription ("Premium Plan").
6.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed through the applicable app store, including: • Google Play Store • Apple App Store (if applicable)
6.3 Billing Cycles
Subscriptions automatically renew according to the selected billing cycle unless canceled before the renewal date.
6.4 Refunds
Refund policies are governed by the policies of the respective app store. The Company does not directly process refunds.
6.5 Cancellation
Users may cancel subscriptions through their app store account settings.
6.6 Price Changes
The Company reserves the right to modify subscription prices at any time. Changes will take effect on future billing cycles.
6.7 Trial Periods
If trial periods are offered, the trial will convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial expires.
7. Privacy & Data Handling

The Service may collect the following information: • Email addresses of contacts • User account information • Safety check-in schedules • Device identifiers • App usage data
7.2 Contact Data
Users are responsible for obtaining consent from any contact they add to the Service.
7.3 Notification Data
The Service may send automated emails or notifications to designated contacts when alerts are triggered.
7.4 Data Storage
User data may be stored on secure servers operated by the Company or trusted third-party infrastructure providers.
7.5 Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party services for: • Cloud hosting • Email delivery • Analytics • Infrastructure management The Company is not responsible for failures or breaches originating from third-party providers.
7.6 Data Retention
Data may be retained for operational, legal, or security purposes.
7.7 User Rights
Users may request access to or deletion of personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
8. Liability Protection & Legal Safeguards
8.1 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service. This includes but is not limited to: • Personal injury • Death • Assault • Kidnapping • Missing persons • Emotional distress • Property loss
8.2 Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from: • Misuse of the Service • False alerts • Violation of these Terms • Use of incorrect contact information
8.3 Force Majeure
The Company shall not be responsible for failures caused by events beyond its control, including: • Natural disasters • War • Terrorism • Infrastructure outages • Government restrictions
8.4 Account Termination
The Company may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion if users violate these Terms.
8.5 Changes to the Service
The Company may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
